The FPC Monopole Antenna is an embedded antenna engineered for compact wireless devices. By positioning the radiating element along the device’s thickness (Z-axis), it minimizes the required footprint on your PCB layout and helps you reduce overall device size. Conventional PCB-mounted antennas require careful component placement to avoid performance degradation. This FPC design significantly reduces the keep-out area required on the board.
 
Optimized for space-constrained designs, this antenna delivers stable RF performance across multiple frequency bands. It supports 3G, LTE, the 902–928 MHz ISM band (915 MHz), and other LPWA applications. Leveraging the flexibility of FPC material, the antenna conforms to curved enclosures, giving you greater mechanical design freedom.
 
Two connection options are available: direct board connection or connector-based integration. Select the configuration that best fits your assembly process and performance requirements. This antenna is widely used in Industrial Sensing devices, GPS Trackers & Logistics Management systems, and other compact IoT antenna applications.

1. Optimized for Compact Device Integration

The FPC Monopole Antenna positions the radiating element along the device thickness (Z-axis), enabling a more compact implementation than conventional board-mounted antennas. Standard PCB antennas require careful component placement to prevent performance degradation. This design minimizes the required keep-out area, allowing integration into your device with minimal PCB space.

2. Suitable for Various IoT / M2M Devices

Our FPC Monopole Antenna is certified with major communication modules and is suitable for a wide range of IoT / M2M devices. It supports multiple wireless standards, including 3G, LTE, the 920 MHz band, LPWA, and other low-power radio systems.

3. Conformable to Curved Surfaces

The FPC Monopole Antenna uses an FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit), allowing it to conform to curved surfaces within the device. This flexibility enables easier integration into compact and uniquely shaped enclosures.

4. Available in Direct Mount and Connector Types

Our FPC Monopole Antenna is available in two variations: a direct board-mount type and a connector-based type using an RF connector. You can select the appropriate configuration based on your application requirements and assembly process.

Applications

The FPC Monopole Antenna is primarily used in smart tracking devices. It is integrated into compact GPS trackers and pet tracking devices to enable location data transmission, tracking, and device status monitoring.
It is also well suited for logistics management systems, agricultural and dairy monitoring terminals, LTE routers and gateways, as well as rental and shared mobility solutions such as rental cars, car-sharing, and bike-sharing systems.
