STAF Corporation upholds a management philosophy centered on “Speedy Technology Actuality Flexibility”. Under this philosophy, we have continuously supported the realization of a sustainable society by executing our business based on annual business policies established each fiscal year.
In recent years, interest in solving global social issues has grown, and companies are increasingly expected to incorporate the SDGs into management. To make our sustainability initiatives more concrete, we launched an internal SDGs working group and identified our materialities (key management issues for STAF Corporation). Starting with obtaining SBT (Science Based Targets) certification in 2023, we aim to “realize a sustainable society and enhance corporate value.”
Based on our belief that managing our business from three perspectives—environment, society, and governance (corporate governance)—is essential to sustaining our company and earning social trust going forward, we will further promote sustainability-focused management. By visualizing the material issues in our sustainability initiatives and clarifying the challenges we recognize, we will improve them one by one. In doing so, all employees will create new value together with our customers and contribute to building a sustainable society through the power of co-creation.

As a concrete action against climate change, STAF Corporation has obtained SBT (Science Based Targets) certification and is working to reduce CO2 emissions.

To promote the sustainable use of forest resources, STAF Corporation uses FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certified paper for the paper products we use (business cards, envelopes, etc.).

STAF Corporation has obtained ISO 14001 certification and has established and operates an environmental management system. Through this system, we work to reduce environmental impact and pursue sustainable development across all business activities.
As a concrete action to address climate change, STAF Corporation has obtained SBT (Science Based Targets) certification and targets a 42% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030 compared to 2020 levels. This target is aligned with the Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming to within 1.5°C.

Strengthening Our Sustainability Initiatives - Switching All Employee Business Cards to FSC-Certified Paper
Based on our ISO 14001 certification, STAF Corporation has established and operates an environmental management system. Through this system, we reduce our environmental impact and pursue sustainable growth across our business activities. Specifically, all employees work to minimize environmental impact by preventing environmental pollution, improving energy efficiency, promoting recycling, and restricting the use of hazardous substances.
We also set Green Procurement Standards and ask our suppliers to implement environmental conservation initiatives and establish chemical substance management systems. This helps minimize the environmental impact of parts and materials used in our products and improves environmental quality. As part of our environmental conservation activities, we conduct regular audits and enforce strict controls based on applicable laws and STAF Corporation standards.
Through these initiatives, STAF Corporation contributes to building a sustainable society and a cleaner future.

STAF Corporation contributes to SDG 7, “Affordable and Clean Energy,” by improving energy efficiency and promoting the adoption of renewable energy. By reducing energy consumption, we strengthen energy management across our operations.
To achieve sustainable consumption and production, STAF Corporation implements environmentally conscious initiatives in product development and operations. Specifically, we have obtained ISO 14001 certification and established and operate an environmental management system. As part of this effort, we set Green Procurement Standards and improve the environmental quality of our products by sourcing parts and materials with a lower environmental impact in compliance with applicable laws and STAF Corporation standards.
By using FSC-certified paper, STAF Corporation promotes the protection and sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems and contributes to SDG 15, “Life on Land.” Through this initiative, we support responsible forest management and help protect the global environment.
STAF Corporation has received the “Standard” certification under the Y-SDGs Certification Program, an SDGs certification initiative promoted by the City of Yokohama.
